• 2.Buyer Added Bid Specific Scope Of Work(SOW) Text Clause(s) Scope of Work for contractors: Job includes the following: S.No Description 1. 1. 0 Schedule maintenance of Railway Track of SOBK & FOS Siding of Line No L1A, 1 , 2, 4 & 5 and the siding as per the standards of Indian Railways and as followe d by Indian Railways for the maintenance of Private Railway sidings to ensure maximum reliability and availability for operational use. The maintenance syste m design should be geared to provide the maximum reliability and trouble free performance. 2.0 The track maintenance job is to be carried out in All shift in 626 days including 03 National holidays for One Year & 06 National holidays for Two Year and also whenever necessary at any time of day or night, if called for. The jobs as per S MP of Indian Railways rules to be carried out at KIOM siding are as under: · Key /Elastic rail checking. · Nut bolt tightening of the rail joints and fish plates checking and greasin
• g.· Gauge checking/ re-gauging of tracks and key setting. · Replacement of damaged / unserviceable sleepers (all types-wooden or concre te). · Fitting of all types of rails (stock rail, tongue rails, check rails, wing/ guard rails, nose rails etc.) · Fitting of crossing body of all types and designs i.e. assembled and CMS crossi ng body, single/ joint bearing plate & heel blocks etc. · Lifting and packing of the rails, points & crossings whenever required. · Lubricating at crossing and tongue rails/ outer rails at curvature, lever boxes a nd fish plates. · Maintenance of super elevation and alignment of railway track as per requirem ent. · Digging and allied earth work, required for the proper maintenance of the trac k line. · Drain making at both the sidings. · Bush/ grass cutting at both the sidings. · All the jobs will have to be supervised by the tenderer. · Necessary liaison with railway for smooth rail movement and others. 3.0 The Contractor has to execute the “track maintenance work of SAIL KIOM Sidin g” including Line No L1A, 1, 2 ,4 & 5 of SAIL. 4.0 The contractor has to execute the work as per standard practices adopted by t he Indian Railway for track maintenance & its related works. 5.0 The schedule for the track maintenance job should be made in such a way that it does not hamper day-to-day Rake movement at KBR siding for rake dispatch es. Shut down for entire length of Railway en-route of KIOM Pvt. Siding may onl y be allowed in case of any major break down of the track lines. 6.0 The contractor shall ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in accorda nce with the standard practices and requirements of Indian Railways. In the ev ent of any derailment occurring within the KBR siding the contractor shall be pe nalized an amount equivalent to 2% of the total cost incurred for re-railment.
