OPTION CLAUSE: The Purchaser reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity to be ordered up to 25 percent of bid quantity at the time of placement of contract. The purchaser also reserves the right to increase the ordered quantity up to 25% of the contracted quantity during the currency of the contract at the contracted rates. The delivery period of quantity shall commence from the last date of original delivery order and in cases where option clause is exercised during the extended delivery period the additional time shall commence from the last date of extended delivery period. The additional delivery time shall be (Increased quantity ÷ Original quantity) × Original delivery period (in days), subject to minimum of 30 days. If the original delivery period is less than 30 days, the additional time equals the original delivery period. The Purchaser may extend this calculated delivery duration up to the original delivery period while exercising the option clause. Bidders must comply with these terms.

• 4.If bidders submit the tender it will be deemed that bidders have fully understo od all the requirements and Terms & conditions. So no request will be entertain ed on a pretext that the bidder did not have a clear idea on any particular point and / or a clause of tender.
• 5.Enhancement of rate will not be allowed once the financial bid accepted and p urchase order is placed.
• 6.No advance payment will be made to supplier.100% payment will be made wit hin 45 days subject to receipt of full articles as ordered.

• 9.In case ,due to some unforeseen circumstances happen to be holiday/ closed d ay ,the items will be delivered on next working day within working hours i.e. 10: 00 Hrs. to 17:30 Hrs.
• 10.The quoted price by bidders should be of all inclusive as under:- 10.1.Transportation charges. 10.2.Loading/ unloading charges. 10.3.All Taxes , Duties, Other charges if any.
• 11.Bidders may please note that GeM is capturing and showing the IP addresses u sed by the Buyer and the Bidder(s)/ Seller(s). The received bids having Matching / Common IP address with either Bidder(s) / Seller(s) will disqualify.
• 12.TDS shall be deducted as per rules.
• 13.Supply of the article has to be made within given ti me frame at Divisional Office- Varanasi on above address o n suppliers cost.
• 14.In case of applied for Branded Items Bid; Bidder /Se ller/Vedor should be authorized person of Brand/Company a nd Authorization Certificate is must.
• 15.In case of delay in supply of order , the penalty clause shall be applicable as m entioned in the contract. However the Competent Authority can relax this condi tion if the cause of delay is due to the reason to satisfaction of the Competent A uthority and same may be communicated well in advance with full details. Any Bid not in compliance with these Terms & Conditions will be liable for rejection, if the Firm/ Vendor fails to comply the provision of clauses of delivery on or befo re the date mentioned or within such extended times as may be granted by the Corporation.
• 16.The Sr. Divisional Manager (I/C) (i.e. Competent Authority) reserves the right to accept the lowest quotation as per Bid Specification or to cancel the Bid without assigning any reason thereof.
• 17.EMD fee by cash deposit at our Divisional Office cash counter or DD favoring LI C of India payable at Varanasi must be attached with tender.
• 18.Delivery Instruction for Supplier / Transporters :- Delivery Timing & Working Hours :
• i)LIC Division Office works for 5 days in a Week ( Saturday & Sunda y are weekly-offs) ii) Material delivery can be accepted only in working days ( Monday- Friday) excluding Public Holidays between 10:00 Hrs. to 17:00 Hrs.
• 19.Any transportation loss shall be the responsibility of supplier & cost of loss has to be borne by them.
• 20.Any loss observe after unpacking at buyer’s end shall be replaced by the vend or at it’s own cost.
• 21.The delivered item should exactly matched with Technical Specification as me ntioned in GEM contract & as per approved Sample, failing to which LIC have so le right to reject the consignment / Imposed appropriate penalty / Blacklist the fi rm & apart from seizer of EMD amount. .
