Item is reserve to purchase from firm which is approved by PCMD/NWR for purchase of non medicine items.The dealer must submit the tender specification from OEM if OEM does not provide the direct authorization to bidder/traders than sub authorization from authorized distributor of OEM for NWR is accepted. The medicines and drugs are reserved to be purchased from firms registered with railway board, New Delhi for supply of medicines and manufacturing unit of the offered product should be inspected and passed fit by railway. However, in case of medical stores other than medicines such as rubber goods, consumables, implants and appliances etc. Not covered under the new drug policy guidelines issued by railway board, the purchaser reserve its right to purchase it from the firms registered with NWR, Jaipur, who are either manufacturing, marketing or even distributing agency for the product offered. In such cases the inspection of manufacturing unit is not mandatory.

Whether the manufacturing unit/plant is found fit for supply of offered product to railways or not in case of medicine.
Scanned copy of outer paper package or product sample or label from injection vial as applicable of the item offered must be uploaded/ attached/submitted by the firm.
In case of drugs supply, firms are mandated to append valid railway inspection certificate of the corresponding manufacturing unit from which the supply has to be delivered. In case no such inspection certificate found along with submitted bid, the PO will be released with the mandatory clause that firm will submit manufacturing unit address and the corresponding railway inspection certificate along with supply failing which the supply will not be accepted
The firm undertakes that the brand quoted in the tender is the same as is marketed by it in general market.
The rates quoted/offered do not exceed the controlled price, if any, fixed by the central/ state govt. /NPPA (national pharmaceuticals pricing authority) / DPCO/ DGS& D and MRP (maximum retail price).
